About

The Pier-2 Art Center Artist-in-Residence Program (PAIR), located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, offers a dynamic and supportive environment for artists to create, exhibit, and collaborate. Situated in the Dayi Warehouse section of the Pier-2 Art Center, this residency provides artists with a 33-square-meter creation space and a 17-square-meter attic living space. The program emphasizes engagement with Kaohsiung’s local culture, geographic environment, and social conditions, encouraging artists to produce works that reflect these themes. Participants will benefit from studio and living spaces, a daily living allowance, material fees, and transportation costs covered. The residency spans four seasons, with stays ranging from 60 to 85 days.
