Originally founded in 1989 and encompassing 120 artist studios, the program is housed in the historical halls 18 and 19. It's dedicated to fostering artistic growth and integration into Amsterdam's cultural landscape. The residency offers a 70 m2 private studio and living space to a diverse range of creatives, including visual artists, mixed media practitioners, performance artists, designers, researchers, curators, and writers. The three-month program emphasizes reflection, creation, and dissemination, culminating in an exhibition at puntWG, an interdisciplinary project space.

Artist Residencies Enschede (ARE), founded in 2007, is an internationally recognized organization that offers visual artists a chance to immerse themselves in a new community, fostering cultural exchange and creativity. Situated within the B93 art initiative building in Enschede, the Netherlands, ARE encourages interactions between guest artists and local artists, often starting with a welcoming dinner. Monthly, B93 hosts an exhibition (Carte Blanche) and an opening in the same building. ARE offers two guest studios for international artists for a three-month period, culminating in a solo exhibition at B93's exhibition space. The residency provides a conducive environment for creativity, including working facilities and opportunities to connect with a local audience. ARE's mission is to support artists globally in their artistic development and to promote cultural exchange and global connections. ARE collaborates with B93 and is a partner in the Beeldende Kunst Overijssel (BKO) platform.
