BenAmil Artist Residency Cozumel
Cozumel, Mexico
BenAmil offers a haven for inspiration in the rural, tropical setting of Cozumel in the Mexican Caribbean. It welcomes artists, arts managers, intellectuals, organizations, and institutions developing artistic or cultural projects. The programme encourages creation, interdisciplinary exchange, research, and immersion in the local context. It offers contacts, visibility, material resources, logistics, communications, and cultural management, as well as information about exhibitions, festivals, performances, and other cultural events. Facilities include a studio with a bathroom, a palapa with a kitchen and creative workspace, a cabin accommodating up to ten people, gardens, an orchard, fruit trees, and unconventional open spaces in the jungle. Whenever possible, residents share their creative process with the community through a presentation or exhibition.
