The Print Studio & Gallery, La Maldita Estampa, is a place created by artists to give support to other artists, focused on the contemporary printmaking process. We created the opportunity and the right conditions to host international artists in Barcelona (Spain) with its Artists in Residence Programme, offering its space formed by a fully equipped workshop and its gallery, an ideal place for the diffusion and promotion of the work of the resident artists. Addressed to professional artists or artists in training who want to develop their artistic project in a different environment and context, who want to experiment or learn about a specific technique or various graphic techniques, we use traditional and contemporary graphic processes, experimentation is a key factor in contemporary graphics.Our aim is to offer resident artists the resources, support and guidance necessary for the optimal development of their projects. To make the artist feel as if they were in their own studio, working freely, developing, experimenting, researching and achieving the highest quality as a final result. In short, to make their stay a fun, rewarding and productive experience. We receive artists from different artistic disciplines, curators, and national managers and international organizations that are interested in developing their projects in the different techniques of traditional printing process; parallel talks, meetings, visits and exhibitions that complement each of the artistic projects to be developed.
