La Maldita Estampa in Barcelona, Spain, extends an exciting opportunity for international artists through its Artists in Residence program, focusing on contemporary printmaking. This program specializes in various printmaking techniques including etching, screen printing, lithography, and more, providing a space for creation, research, training, and dissemination. The residency aims to offer artists the right conditions and support to foster the development of their projects, allowing them to work freely and experiment within a fully equipped workshop and gallery space. Located in the heart of Barcelona's cosmopolitan neighborhood, surrounded by modernist architecture, the residency does not include accommodation but assists artists in finding suitable living arrangements. Artists can apply for residencies ranging from 2 to 12 weeks and will have access to over 120 m^2 of workspace to bring their creative projects to life. While artists must secure their own funding, La Maldita Estampa is willing to provide invitation letters for grants or subsidies. The residency culminates in an Open Studio event or a solo exhibition, allowing artists to showcase their work to the public.
