Holocaust Centre North

About
Holocaust Centre North invites artists, writers, and translators to participate in its Memorial Gestures Residency Programme. This remote residency spans seven months, allowing participants to engage deeply with the Centre’s extensive archives. The programme focuses on contemporary relevance and supports artistic research that fosters nuanced conversations around historical atrocities, particularly the Holocaust. Artists and writers will explore the Centre’s collection, which includes over 6000 items, to create works that reflect on these narratives. The residency encourages collaborative and individual projects that address critical historical and contemporary issues. This year, the programme seeks three artists and one writer/translator. Applicants are encouraged to join online drop-in sessions for more information and to submit their applications by the specified deadline.
