About
Uncool Artist Residency (UAR) is an online programme for visual artists — participants take part from anywhere, with no relocation, studio rent or visa logistics. It runs on weekly group cohorts and monthly one-to-one sessions with rotating curators and advisors, advancing the body of work in parallel with the documentation, portfolio and positioning around it. The year-long format concludes with a curated two-week solo exhibition in New York the following year, followed by one to two years of gallery representation and Artsy presence. A shorter quarterly format is also offered.
