Visual Arts Residencies in Seoul

The Creative Studio at the Korea National University of Arts School of Visual Arts runs a year-long residency on its Seokgwan-dong campus in Seoul. Eight artists are selected — two each in 2D art, 3D art, media art and ceramics and glass — through an open call that accepts international applicants, requiring three years of professional practice after a bachelor's degree or one year after a master's.

Seoul Art Space Geumcheon is an international artist residency program in Seoul, South Korea, housed in a renovated printing factory, offering studios and support for visual and new media artists. Seoul Disability Arts Center is a residency run by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture in Jamsil, southeastern Seoul, dedicated to artists with disabilities. It provides studio space and creation support to resident visual artists through a funded programme, together with exhibition opportunities, and was formerly known as Jamsil Creative Studio.
