Friends of Weymouth Inc. operates the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities in Southern Pines, North Carolina, established in 1979 to preserve the historic Boyd House and surrounding grounds as a cultural center for artists and writers. It primarily offers the Writers-in-Residence program, including the Boyd House residency for North Carolina writers (1-2 weeks) and the competitive Lamont Cottage residency for esteemed writers worldwide, providing solitude and access to facilities like studios and gardens.
