The BASIS Vinschgau-Venosta residency program invites artists, researchers, designers, technologists, and hybrid practitioners to collaborate and experiment in the unique cultural and ecological environment of South Tyrol, Italy. Located in the repurposed Caserma Druso military barracks in Schlanders, it offers 24/7 access to studios, production spaces, and workrooms for stays of 2–24 weeks (recommended 1–4 months), fostering a vibrant community through shared dinners, open studios, and exhibitions. The program supports interdisciplinary work at the intersection of economy, culture, education, and social development in this rural Alpine setting.
